A high pressure area near Vidarbh and Telangana has returned monsoon in the state. It is raining in various parts for last three days. It kept raining from early morning to late night in Indore on Sunday, scaling upto 16mm. The total rain in the city has reached 32.8” which is more than average. This rain is good for Rabi crop but will spoil Soybean harvest. As per agricultural scientists, a little more rain will do a considerable harm to Soybean crop which has either been reaped and lying in stakes on the grounds or is ready to be reaped. Farmers suggest that this rain will help wheat, gram and potato crop in areas of scanty irrigation resources. While agriculture specialist R. D. Tiwari warns that more rain will affect Soybean production this year.
