Thieves and snatchers are challenging existence of police system in the city by looting not only in nights but even in the day time and in a crowded place. This is what happened with a retired and aged supervisor of a private company when he was returning home after withdrawing money from his bank account for his bypass surgery. Narayan s/o Neelkanth Parmeshwaran, 58 had left his house in Chetan Nagar, near Bangali Chouraha, at 11 am. He first reached State Bank of Indore at Bangali Chouraha then travelled to State Bank of India’s Palasia branch by City Bus. There he withdrew 20 thousand rupees by a draft. Now, with a view to return home by City Bus, he lost his way and came on MG Road. He was walking at wrong side of the road and had come as far as upto Treasure Island. Just then two snatchers came from behind on bike and snatched his bag and disappeared in Racecourse road lane. The victim has to collect 2 Lakh rupees for his bypass surgery. Trackback(0)
